Famous Face Friday - Yasmin Le Bon
)
Yasmin Le Bon is shown above, gearing up for the 2018 Veteran Car Run on the 1901 Wolseley loaned by the British Motor Museum at Gaydon. The supermodel - who represented the Movember Foundation on the Run - was subsequently joined by Red Bull F1 boss Christian Horner for the traditional pre-dawn ripping of the red flag ahead of the start in Hyde Park. She shared the Wolseley driving duties on the Run with renowned historic car racer Pat Blakney Edwards.
Although Yasmin was no stranger to historic cars (having co-driven a January XK150 on the 2013 Mille Miglia), this was her Run debut, and she was delighted to make the finish in Brighton: “I was grinning from ear to ear, even in the few more gripping moments that we had. The car behaved beautifully. The crowds were just astonishing — I had no idea quite how many people come out, but I’m delighted that they do to see these incredible vehicles all together on the road. It’s an extraordinary sight. What’s more, I was doing the Run for a wonderful cause.”
